Frequently Asked Questions

RoamEden is a space shaped by therapists who have each spent time exploring the world beyond themselves through movement, challenge, and lived experience. What connects the work is a shared understanding: sometimes we travel outward to better understand what’s within.

  • A place to arrive, as you are.
There’s no pressure to have the right words or a clear plan. You might speak about what’s brought you here, or simply begin where you’re at.

It’s also a chance to get a feel for the therapist and how they hold the space. Nothing needs to be resolved straight away.

  • The relationship matters.
Each therapist within RoamEden works in their own way, but all share a grounded, human approach shaped by lived experience.

You’re welcome to take your time with this. If it doesn’t feel right, that can be spoken about, and another therapist may be explored.

  • No.
Some people arrive with something defined, others with a quieter sense that something isn’t quite right. Both are welcome.

This can be a space to slowly make sense of things.

  • Sessions are £65 for 50 minutes.

This reflects a commitment to paying therapists fairly, while keeping sessions as accessible as possible.

There are also ways to reduce the cost:

    • occasional discounts for Ko-fi supporters

    • reduced rates shared through the RoamEden newsletter

    • a small number of supported sessions made possible through a £5 “pay it forward” option

If cost feels like a barrier, it’s okay to reach out.

  • Bookings and messages are managed through Konfidens.
This allows simple, two-way communication with your therapist for arranging sessions.

  • Yes.
What you share is held with care and respect.

There are some limits to confidentiality where there is serious risk of harm, but this would be approached openly wherever possible.

  • There isn’t a single approach.
RoamEden brings together therapists with different trainings, shaped not just by study, but by lived experience.

What connects the work is a willingness to slow down, to listen, and to explore what’s beneath the surface.

  • That’s completely natural.
There’s no expectation to open up quickly. The pace is yours.

  • Yes.
You’re free to end therapy whenever you choose.

If it feels right, a final session can help bring things to a close—but this is always your decision.
